WHITNEY M. YOUNG, JR. SERVICE AWARD PRESENTATION
The Saginaw Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award Presentation is the premier event of Saginaw County and honors area leaders who influence the professional community while also serving as exemplary role models for greater Saginaw-area youth. Your participation in this event directly impacts a community inclusion program for high-risk youth in the Saginaw area called ScoutReach, a program that serves Saginaw’s vulnerable youth to share in the merits of traditional Scouting.
BUILDING CHARACTER CELEBRATION – SOUTH
The Building Character Celebration was born from decades of annual recognition events honoring the highest youth achievers in the Scouting program, Eagle Scout and Summit Award recipients. This gala style dinner event honors and recognizes the current Class of Eagle Scouts and Summit Award Recipients. The evening is capped with our honored guest and Keynote Speaker, still to be determined, who will share a message for our Scouting Family.
ON MY HONOR GALA
The On My Honor Gala is a formal community-facing special event and serves as an annual highlight of Scouting programs for the public each year. The event will feature Executive Partners and Principals from nationwide professional services firms engaged in a panel discussion on leadership, community stewardship, and building our future. The event will further feature a local Scout conveying their Scouting story and the impact the program has had.
Business Attire encouraged.
EAGLE RECOGNITION DINNER
The Eagle Recognition Dinner is capstone annual youth recognition event that honors the accomplishments of one of our most important groups: our young men and women who have achieved Scouting’s highest ranks and awards, the Eagle Scout Rank, Venturing Summit Award, and Sea Scouting Quartermaster. Scouts and their families are invited to this touching banquet where they will hear from a successful Scouting Alumnus. A unique feature of this dinner is that Scouts will be paired with an adult mentor who shares a similar vocation within the Scouts’ future career interests.
ANNUAL BUILDING CONNECTIONS NETWORKING EVENT
Building Connections, a networking event for construction professionals, is the largest annual gathering of the construction community in Southeast Michigan, providing a unique opportunity for informal business and social interaction while supporting the Scouting program for area youth and their families. In conjunction with the Construction Association of Michigan, the Executive Committee of Building Connections is pleased to offer this opportunity to network, socialize, and support a worthy cause with all members of the industry from general contractors, subcontractors, and developers to architects, designers, engineers, and a multitude of vendors.

THE LEADERSHIP DINNER
Leadership is a lifelong quest. For decades strong caring leadership has been at the core of our wonderful region’s growth and quality of life. Enhancing a culture of leadership among our citizens will enrich our communities in multiple ways. Each year we will celebrate, meet new friends, and network with other leaders from all corners of our community. During dinner we will recognize local leaders for their great impact, showcasing leadership in action in our community today. Proceeds from the event will help all children in our community gain access to the leadership programs of the Boy Scouts of America here in Michigan, and the leadership programs for all children K-12 at Adventure Point.
