We have so many amazing volunteers and leaders in our Council — why not make sure they are recognized?  Worn as knots on a leader’s uniform, many probably do not realize they have earned them.  Many don’t realize the number of awards there are, nor how to submit them.  

NOTE: Some of the awards have been recently updated, so make sure that you are using the most recent forms.  Cub Scout Leader Training awards have been updated to include Arrow of Light.

Training Awards

By having 1, 2, or 3 years of service (depending on the award) and completing Position Specific training and some other requirements, unit leaders can earn one of three Training awards.

Scouting America Awards

On top of training, there are many other Awards that can be earned.  Scouting America’s Award Central contains a list of all awards that can be earned.  The most common of those can be found in the Common Awards section of the MCC Awards page.

MCC Awards

Our council has awards specific to it that can be found on the MCC Awards page. The Honored Eagle and Silver Beaver awards are prestigious awards with nominations due in late January of each year.

Submitting Awards

Once you have someone that you want to nominate, you can submit the completed forms on the MCC Awards page under the correct section (separate submissions for “Honored Eagle”, “Silver Beaver”, “Lifesaving”, and “All Others”).
