Dear Scouting Family,

In the post-pandemic world, the way we shop is becoming much different. Scouting and its retail operations are no different. The Michigan Crossroads Council understands the importance and need to provide the best and most convenient shopping experience possible for our Scouting units and families across the Mitten.

Recently, the Supply Group of the National Council of Scouting America has decided to close four nationally operated Scout Shops in Michigan based on sales data, operational costs, membership, and current customer shopping trends. The Michigan Crossroads Council supports this decision.

The four National Scout Shops locations that will be closing are: Kalamazoo, Detroit, Burton and Auburn.   These store locations will officially close on November 27, 2024.  NOTE:  This does NOT affect the Offices.  The offices at these locations are remaining open.

As an organization, we recognize the value of our volunteer’s and parent’s time and are working to streamline the shopping experience, therefore removing travel time.

Do not be concerned about obtaining the program and recognition items necessary to run your den, pack, troop, crew, ship or post. The following are options for continued service for all your required or desired Scouting program needs.
