It’s that time of year again. Time to request your Central Registry Clearance letter (aka “DHS” or “DHHS” letter). Any adult 21 or over must yearly request a clearance and present that letter when on camp property. Any adult going to camp must have a printed letter with them. Fill out the form below and email it to MiLEAP – CCBC using the email address listed on the form. You do not have to have it sent to a camp; simply have it sent back to your own email address.
NOTE: This letter must be dated the current year. You will need to request one each year that you plan to be on camp property – visiting or attending camp.
About how long is the turn around time after emailing the CCBC – Child Care Background Check department with the form?
Great question. The Central Registry Clearance letters are usually emailed back to you fairly quickly. I submitted mine yesterday morning and received my letter via email about an hour ago. As you get closer to summer, it can take longer, but right now it is fairly quick.
