Troops: Ever consider having a sports competition for your recruitment night? Or a robot tournament? Or a geocaching night? Choose one of the cool events on the Dynamic Recruiting page and start inviting those youth!
Packs: You tend to focus more on traditional recruitment nights — open houses, tables at community events. That doesn’t mean they can’t be fun. Set up the Pinewood track and let youth race cars. Have games and activities available for the youth to do while you are talking with parents. Need ideas to get the word out? If a local business has a marquee board in town, see if they would advertise your Join Scouting Night on it.
Download the following resources and review all of the suggested options. The guides help organize your recruitment activities and give you great ideas of ways to reach new youth that you may not have thought of.
