Current linked Boy and Girl Troops that are interested in becoming pilot co-ed Troops are asked to complete the form below to indicate interest. Responses will be reviewed, and Troops will be notified if they have been selected to be part of the pilot. Interest submissions are due JULY 22, 2024. Those Troops selected to be a part of the pilot will become co-ed Troops on September 1, 2024.
Criteria for consideration:
- Charter Partner must approve moving to a co-ed Troop model
- Unit committee (of both Troops) must approve moving to a co-ed Troop model
- Girl and Boy Troops must be part of an existing linked Troop.
- BOTH units must have been formed before January 31, 2024.
- Data will be collected by the National Boy Scouts through periodic surveys to leaders and members. As such, to indicate a troops ability to support online surveying, 75% of registered families in both the Girl and Boy troop must complete electronic survey indicating whether they support becoming a co-ed troop.
- At least 75% of respondents from both the Girl and Boy troop must approve becoming a Co-ed Troop.
