What is theĀ Campmaster Program?
The Campmaster Program is a great way to give service to your camp. Adult scouters can volunteer as a team, a family, or individually over the weekend to greet guests, provide support in service projects, and check out units as they depart camp. The Gerber Scout Reservation Campmaster Chairman coordinates the calendar and available projects for the teams of Campmaster volunteers.
How do you apply to be a Campmaster?
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be a registered Scouter at least 21 years of age.
2. Have Scouting leadership experience. Other leadership experience will be considered as well.
3. Be familiar with the operation of Scouting units (Pack, Troop, Crew, Post) as well as the aims and methods of Scouting.
4. Have current Youth Protection Training.
5. Have a minimum of current First Aid/CPR/AED training.
6. Be willing to serve two (2) weekends per year as a Campmaster.
7. While serving as Campmaster, be willing to stay on site in the provided housing for the duration of the weekend, not have any other assigned duties.
