Guide to Advancement Updated

The Guide to Advancement has been updated for the year 2025. The current edition of the Guide to Advancement is the official source for administering advancement in all Scouting America programs: Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts. It replaces any previous Scouting America advancement manuals and previous editions of the Guide to Advancement.

Merit Badge Requirements Updates

Each year Scouting America posts requirements changes for many Scouts BSA Merit Badges.  When a Scout begins working on a Merit Badge, ensure that they are using the latest requirements by visiting the Merit Badge page.  A detailed list of the updated requirements can be found in the Merit Badge Updates PDF.

Eagle Scout Application Updated

New and Exciting! Straight from National to you, we present the revised Eagle Scout Rank Application! As your Eagle Candidate works towards this lofty goal, be certain they have the Rank Application revised in December of 2024!

NOTE: To generate the Eagle Scout Rank Application, a Scout, parent, or adult leader of the unit can navigate to the Eagle Scout Candidate in Scoutbook, then click Reports and then Eagle Application.  Downloading it in this manner ensures the latest version and will have the data filled out based on advancement records in Scoutbook.
