Program

The On My Honor Event is the Michigan Crossroads Council’s premier Scout, Volunteer, and community-facing special event and serves as an annual highlight of Scouting programs each year. The 2025 event will recognize David Montgomery, Eagle Scout, and professional football player with the North Star Award. As a Scouting Ambassador, David Montgomery has actively shared how his personal Scouting journey helped prepare him for life, and how he uses the lessons of leadership, character growth, and service as a community steward in the Detroit area. Furthermore, the event will further feature local Scouts conveying their own Scouting experiences and the impact the program has had.

Purpose

The event is attended by hundreds of community members from across Michigan with the purpose of hearing about the good works of local Scouting and providing an opportunity to support the important mission of Scouting America. Funds raised at the On My Honor Gala support tens of thousands in local Scouting programs. Tickets are no cost, but it should be advertised that there will be an ask for support of Scouting from the stage near the conclusion of the event and pledge cards will be distributed and collected. Those attending should consider the recommended entry-level donation of $300.

Who Should Attend?

Panelists and Speaker guests, colleagues, and business associates, current and future friends of Scouting attending as guests selected and invited by Scouting Executive Board members, Scouting Volunteers and Staff. Guests from outside of Scouting include community, business, and political leaders. Within the Scouting organization, all Unit, District, and Council leadership are encouraged to attend, culminating in the largest community-facing Scouting event in the state of Michigan annually.

Reservations are required.   Tickets are no cost, though guests will be presented with an opportunity to support local Scouting near the conclusion of event. Your consideration of the support of these critical youth programs is truly appreciated.
