We are lucky in the Michigan Crossroads Council to have SIX AMAZING CAMPS!  Support our camps and make plans to visit them today!

There are summer options for Cub Scouts dens/Packs, Scout Troops/Crews/Ships, families with Scouts, families without Scouts, Scouts without their Troop/Crew/Ship, and even options for the public!  Check out the options below.

I am part of a Cub Scout den/Pack…

If you are looking for a camp adventure with your den/Pack, look no further than Cub Scout Advancement camp (entering 1st-5th in the fall) or AOL Advancement camp (entering 5th grade in the fall).  Both provide the overnight experience full of days on the lake, at the ranges, and doing all of those fun activities you know and love.

I am looking for a family vacation…

Families with Scouts of all ages are encouraged to check out our MiCampcation camps!  Think State Park campground but with fun “camp” activities included.  You choose the length of stay, whether you want to cook for yourself (or let us do the cooking), and when/what activities you want to do!  Bring the family, grandma, uncles, friends — everyone is welcome!

I am looking for a weekend family activity…

Families are encouraged to look at one of our weekend getaways planned specifically at a few of our camps.  Anyone (you don’t have to have a Scout in the family, but Scouting families are welcome, too) is welcome to attend and take part in a weekend of camping and activities.  PUBLIC WELCOME!

May 2-4, 2025
Twin Lake, Michigan

Memorial Day weekend OR Labor Day weekend

I am part of a Scouts BSA Troop, Venturing Crew, or Sea Scout Ship and want to do something with my unit…

Look no further than Scouts BSA Camp at five of our amazing camps.  A week-long experience that includes camping, food, merit badge options, and lots of extra fun activities!  Register with your Troop/Crew/Ship for a week of fun!

NOTE:  There are “provisional options”, which means that if a Scout wants to go to camp without their unit, they can do that.  And what is great, Scouts get a discount on a second week of camp!  Go one week with your unit, and go another week as a provisional Scout (staying with another unit or provisional unit).  Cool!

I am a Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scout Scout and want to do something cool on my own…

Cole Canoe Base and D-Bar-A both offer camps that provide awesome activities and don’t require you to go with your Troop/Crew/Ship.  From ATV, to canoeing/kayaking, to learning how to be a ranch hand, to just working towards your Eagle rank.  We have options!

A week focused on Eagle Scout requirements.

Skills related to caring for horses!

Ride the trails on ATVs!

Kayak Lake Superior!

Training for treks to Philmont.

I am a part of a Scouts BSA Troop, Venturing Crew , or Sea Scout Ship and want to design an adventure…

There are many high adventure opportunities, both nationally and in-council.  Check out our high adventure options — design your own paddling or backpacking treks.  Paddling treks are on the rivers in the northern lower peninsula, and backpacking treks include treks in the beautiful pictured rocks area!

I am an adult and want to experience camp life…

Oh, do we have you covered?  If you are 21+ and were ever interested in doing all of the things the “kids” get to do?  Climbing, target sports, aquatics, and more?  But want an experience geared towards you?  Cole Canoe Base has what you are looking for with their Camp Run-A-Muck!  A weekend of activities just for you and your friends…including live music and other activities not normally part of “summer camp”.   Open to the public!  A great group experience, so bring all of your friends! (Leaders — this is your chance to be at camp without the kids!  Unit leader team-building!)

I just want to rent a cabin or campsite for my family or group usage…

Whether you are associated with Scouting or not, we welcome you to our camps!  We offer facility rentals to families and outside groups through our Mitten Outdoor Adventures & Events.  Visit the site to book your next cabin/campsite, or consider our camps for bigger events (weddings, family reunions, etc).  Visit the mitten site, and choose your venue (by city).  Check out the options!

I want to work at camp…

If you are a Scout 14+, you can work at camp!  Scouts 14-15 are Counselors-in-Training, and Scouts 16+ are counselors.  Work as many weeks as you would like — but make sure to take a week off to camp with your Troop/Crew/Ship.  We are flexible!  You will have fun being behind the scenes creating legendary experiences for our campers.  Apply today!
