UPDATE: HAZARDOUS WEATHER TRAINING

It’s a good idea for all Leaders but REQUIRED for all direct contact Leaders. 

In 2017, Hazardous Weather Training was made mandatory for all Direct Contact Leaders, however, completion of this training has not been reflected in the training reports. Effective the week of December 2, 2024, this training will be reflected in training reports.

Please check your online training in My.Scouting.org to make sure your Hazard Weather Training is up-to-date.

Hazardous Weather Training expires and must be renewed every two (2) years for all direct contact leaders. 

The following positions are considered Direct Contact Leaders:
  • Cubmaster
  • Asst. Cubmaster
  • Den Leader
  • Asst. Den Leader
  • Scoutmaster
  • Asst. Scoutmaster
  • Crew Advisor
  • Associate Advisor
  • Exploring Advisor & Associate Advisor
  • Sea Scout Adult Leader
