Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge Day

Boy Scouts will complete steps 1, 2c, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge during this two-day program (note: this is NOT an overnight event). Scouts will discover what it means to be an active citizen by exploring the exhibits of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Scouts will come away with a better understanding of our government as well as important lessons of character and leadership taught through the example of President (and Eagle Scout!) Gerald R. Ford.
Limit: 24 participants Registration Deadline: August 6, 2019 or until full
Fee: $20 per Scout (includes program and lunch each day; adult chaperones may order lunch for $15/person) No refunds after August 6, 2019.

Please note: Scouts must bring the Citizenship in the Nation: Merit Badge Series handbook with them. Scouts will need to complete steps 2 a, b, or d, AND step 3 before or after their visit to earn the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge. If completed beforehand, Scouts must bring written documentation on the day of the program to discuss with Merit Badge Counselor. Scouts should also come prepared to write a letter to an elected official and must know their address and zip code to do so.
