National Youth Leadership Training Staff Application Process

National Youth Leadership Training, NYLT, is the premier youth leadership development course for the Boy Scouts of America. It brings together youth leaders from all over the council to learn and apply the skills they need to be effective leaders in their troops, crews, and other units.

This course draws upon the most current leadership models used by corporate America, academic circles, and successful outdoor leadership organizations throughout the country. This exciting and fast-paced training discusses team development and appropriate leadership strategies to enable Scouts and their units to reach the highest level of performance.

In order for Water & Woods FSC to provide the best courses possible, we need to have a top notch staff. We are always looking for new staff members to keep our courses fresh, and to add diversity. This starts by identifying those youth who are interested in staffing an NYLT course.

To help do that, we are rolling out a brand new application process. Any youth who is interested in staffing can let us know by filling out a simple online form. Once you fill out the form, and let us know you are interested, we will get back to you with an email for additional info. Following that, we will be doing interviews in order to select actual staff members.

In order to be considered for a staff position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Have completed an NYLT course as a participant
• Be a registered youth member of the Boy Scouts of America
• Be at least 14 years old
• Be active in your home unit, and have the recommendation of your unit leader

This is your chance to be part of a great program. Please follow the attached link to begin the application process. We look forward to meeting you.
